Upcoming Events
Liquid Futures
What does the social, environmental, and political ecology of the Wallkill River look like 50 years from now, 100 years from now, 1000 years from now, after climate change?
The Changing Room
Join us for another participatory workshop created by four artists (Kate, Tona, Gretchen and Laura) that leans directly into the politics of the present: visitors will design their own currency. At a time when even the symbols on money are subject to control and branding, this gesture asks—who gets to define value? Who signs off on what circulates?
Power Objects & (Im)Possible Demands: A Wallkill Ritual
Inspired by ancient rituals and contemporary political unrest, this workshop invites participants to sculpt small clay objects that represent a need or desire for transformative change, working in kinship with the Wallkill River and the more-than-human world.
Chinese Brush Painting Workshop
Join Maxine for a relaxing, creative, and meditative experience!
Art, Land & Future
Unison Arts inaugural Triennial: Art, Land & Future, is a landmark initiative celebrating both the 50th anniversary of Unison Arts and the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Flood Futures
Imagined as the science project of post-apocalyptic potter, this installation responds to climate change, flooding, post-industrial landscapes, and survival after systems fail.
Ground Current
Jordan Rosenow’s Ground Current sources metal studs and high-voltage glass and ceramic insulators to create an aquamarine and clay fountain suspended within a stainless steel frame and overtaken by purple and gold and pink pollinator plants.
Es Difícil Ser Un Santo
On Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 pm, Agustin Diocares will present Es Difícil Ser Un Santo in the Unison Arts indoor/outdoor Garage Gallery. This performance uses oranges as a poetic and political image to reflect on immigration, labor, and America’s dependence on undocumented workers.
Garage Jam
Tom and Mike will be rocking the garage with an evening of live music, improvisation, and community spirit. Bring an instrument or use one of ours and jump into the jam, or simply come listen, connect, and enjoy a great time with fellow music lovers. Garage Jam is all about making music together in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Join us at Liberty View Farm for A Midsummer Night’s Dream — Unison’s 50th Anniversary Gala — set against the rolling fields and twilight skies of the Hudson Valley.
