MIK & GILLES: Satire-Folk Duo

For the 125th consecutive year, Unison will welcome (if that is indeed the proper verb) the abstract-depressionist duo of Mikhail Horowitz & Gilles Malkine, assuming they can get time off for good behavior from Karma Triyana Dharmachakra Correctional Facility. Expect the usual mix of literary lampoons, unseemly spoofs of American roots music, and (ineffectual these days, alas) political satire. And hey, it would be nice to see some people under 60 in the audience this time!

Please join Joseph Jastrab (guitar), Ned Leavitt (harmonium), Robert Bard (bass), and Ev Mann (percussion) for an uplifting morning of community chanting as they offer devotional grooves that are at times ecstatic, and at times entrancing and meditative.
