A flowing sequence of 108 postures, this traditional tai chi form has been passed down through generations of Tai Chi Masters. It is largely practiced for health and fitness but retains the original martial arts applications. Weekly attendance is recommended because Martha teaches the sequence of moves step-by-step; each class builds upon the previous one.
Twice a week attendance is most effective. New students are usually welcome the first class of each month, but please contact Martha if you would like to begin. Advanced forms such as Tai Chi Fast Set, Push Hands & Martial Applications, and Tai Chi Sword are available for continuing students.
This class meets every 2nd & 4th Mondays at Unison, otherwise it takes place at the New Paltz Community Center. Please note: class will take place at the New Paltz Community Center on Veteran’s Day, November 11th.
