Uncommon Ground is a hot alternative bluegrass group on a mission to combine the technical expertise of classically trained musicians with the soul of bluegrass. With Mike Kobetitsch and Wayne Fugate, two long-time veterans of the bluegrass scene; Rachel Handman, who plays fiddle for Uncommon Ground and violin for the Hudson Valley Philharmonic; Phil Helm, Principal Bassist of the HVP and Jazz bassist for U.S. Military Academy's Concert Band; and Craig Bitterman on a small arsenal of percussion instruments.
