Tai Chi Chuan
Chi
with Martha Cheo

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese healing and martial art. Its slow and graceful movements are good for promoting health, developing strength, balance and coordination, and restoring harmony of mind, body, and spirit. Students learn how to combine proper body alignment with breathing, relaxation, and concentration in a way that increases the flow of vital energy inside the body. The class provides step-by-step instruction in the Yang Style long form, a traditional form that retains the original martial arts applications.

Instructor Martha Cheo has been practicing Tai Chi Chuan for 22 years, and also teaches qi gong and advanced tai chi forms such at Tai Chi fast set, push hands, martial applications, and Tai Chi sword, double sticks, and fan.

Martha's Monday classes have grown too large to continue at Unison, so the last Monday classes will be on June 21. We will continue to have the Thursday class at Unison. Summer classes are for continuing students only; the series beginning in September will be open to new beginners.
