"I am happy to be alive as long as I can paint" Frida Kahlo
A spectacular exhibit of paintings by the celebrated Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The show includes approximately fifty of her most important self-portraits, still lifes and portraits from the beginning of her career to her death in 1954. Kahlo painted her own reality, which was shaped by the pain of a crippling injury and by her tempestuous marriage to the legendary Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. The jewel-like paintings are filled with symbolism, often relating to specific incidents in her life.
The cost includes the luxury coach, champagne breakfast and a delicious box dinner with wine, timed tickets and audio tour. Lunch is "dutch-treat" in the cafeteria or restaurants at the museum.
