Photographing the Nude in Nature and the Studio

with Dan McCormack

This class has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This workshop is for beginning to advanced photographers. We will explore photographing the nude in both the studio and in the afternoon sun out in the Unison Sculpture Garden. We will begin the shoot in the studio photographing the nude with studio "hot lights," and shooting with props. Each photographer will take turns directing the model and we will be shooting with both black and white backgrounds. Around 3:30 we will take a break, so photographers with digital displays can share their images with the models and take light refreshment. This is a good time to talk with the other photographers and the models and to share and it will also be time to get ready for the outdoor session. Somewhere around 4:30 we will go out into the sculpture garden and work with late afternoon light and the environmental sculptures as props. Bring multiple cameras, many rolls of film, extra batteries, extra memory card, tripod and props that might be interesting for the model to work with in the studio: fabric, hats, boots CPR masks and deer skulls are favorites of McCormack's.
