"Django" Jazz

Metropolitan Hot Club is one of the best of the Django inspired groups and certainly the most fun. Their playing exemplifies the spirit and swing of Jazz's golden age. — Highlights in Jazz

Jazz manouche — literally "gypsy jazz" — is the name given to a kind of music born in France in the early 1930s. Metropolitan Hot Club is a gypsy jazz group that plays the hot swing/jazz of the 1930s and '40s and honors the musical legacy of legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt and jazz violinist, Stephane Grappelli. With Michael Boyle on guitar; Michael Snow, violin; Aaron Lieberman, guitar and vocals; Martin Keith, string bass.
