A Wok is a super versatile cooking tool. It has unlimited ways to cook food such as stir-frying, steaming and deep frying and more. Youko will show you how to use wok to prepare several popular dishes including Yakisoba, Fried Rice, steaming Gyoza, & Chicken Tatsuta'age.

Youko Yamamoto was born in Yokohama, Japan and grew up on her mother's homemade food. She moved to New York City in 1981 to attend Pratt Institute. She began teaching her home-style cooking at Park Slope Food Co-op in Brooklyn in 1998, and since then she has been teaching in NYC and Mid-Hudson NY. She was the owner and the executive chef of Gomen-Kudasai Japanese Noodle Shop in New Paltz.
