Act 1: Kelleigh McKenzie
Her album is a work of art... Kelleigh is a major talent
Tony Trischka
Banjo-thumping, foot-stomping, guitar-plucking indie folk songstress, Kelleigh McKenzie, has been on a tear lately. She recently won the Independent Music Award and her song "O Mother" was featured on the PBS television series, "Roadtrip Nation." Kelleigh's acclaimed debut album Chances was recently released nationally and her song "Gin" won the 2009 Independent Music Award (IMA) for Best Americana Song. She received two additional IMA nominations (Best Americana Album and Best Cover Song for "Eleanor Rigby") and was a winner in Mountain Stage's New Song Contest.
Act 2: Sean Schenker
The openness and purity of the songs on "Cheap Seats" just drips out of my speakers like warm Southern Comfort and honey.
Johnny Black, High Plains Public Radio 105.7, Amarillo, TX.
Sean Schenker takes time out from his busy schedule with "The Trapps" to perform a solo acoustic set of his signature Indie, "roots" Americana sound. Sean's music is relentlessly honest and passionate and reminds us to celebrate the fragile human experience. A seasoned performer capable of quieting a room with a voice, message and acoustic guitar, Sean is a revolutionary armed with an arsenal of well-crafted songs.
