Japanese Dumplings
with Youko Yamamoto

Youko Yamamoto, who runs "Gomen-Kudasai" noodle shop in New Paltz, welcomes everyone to join her cooking lesson "Sushi A La Mode." In addition to a basic "HOSOMAKI" preparation, she will teach home-style sushi, such as "FUTOMAKI" and "INARI-ZUSHI." The workshop will take place at her restaurant and includes delicious and plentiful tastings.

Youko Yamamoto was born in Yokohama, Japan and grew up on her mother's homemade food. She moved to New York City in 1981 to attend Pratt Institute. In 1998 she taught her home-made cooking at Park Slope Food Co-op in Brooklyn and since then has been teaching in NYC, New Paltz and Gardiner. Her restaurant opened in May of 2008.
