Drawn Home
with Meriel Hoare: a life-drawing life experience

"This workshop really changed my approach to drawing. I'm having a lot more fun now and I feel free to give anything a try." Stuart Bigley

"Many of us do not see the true form of things around us. We see with our minds; we think we know what a form looks like. Our drawings may be accurate, but we miss what is really there... the rhythms, the tones, the harmonies; the very life of a thing." Meriel Hoare

Using hands, fingers, bamboo reeds, goose quills, brushes, charcoal, ink, water and mu- sic, this workshop will reveal a new creative path that produces drawings of astonishing depth and atmosphere. All levels welcome. Meriel Hoare comes here from England and has been painting and drawing all her life. She studied at the Slade School of Art in London, with Oscar Kokoshka in his School of Seeing in Salzburg and with Cecil Collins.
