Daniel Lippel

a La Bella concert

Daniel Lippel is active as a classical guitar soloist and recording artist, as well as a collaborator in ensemble settings in various different styles. He received his doctoral degree while studying with David Starobin at the Manhattan School of Music. As a chamber musician, Lippel has performed at the Macau International Music Festival in China, the Musica Nova Festival in Finland, the Darmstadt Festival of New Music in Germany, and Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival at Alice Tully Hall. The young and much-lauded guitarist is not only a master of Bach's music for guitar, he is also in demand as a regular member of the critically acclaimed International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) and indie rock-global music collective Mice Parade. His program will mix classical works by Bach and Schubert with music by contemporary composers, as well as his own indie influenced compositions for amplified guitar and effects pedals.
