A Body of Water
by Lee Blessing, directed by Robert Miller

"Éan extremely intelligent mystery-puzzle of a playÉ" Backstage.com

What would you do if you woke up one morning and didn't know where you were or even who you were? Moss and Avis, an attractive middle-aged couple, awaken one morning in an isolated summer house high above a picturesque body of water. The weather's fine; the view's magnificent. There's only one problem — they can't remember who they are. When a young woman named Wren arrives, information starts to flood in. But will it help? Her explanations only make Moss and Avis's world—as well as ours—more terrifying. Lee Blessing's suspenseful mystery explores the deep relationship between memory and identity. Are Moss and Avis really a couple or are they strangers? Is Wren their daughter? Is she even real? You will be talking about this play for days.
