Unison Arts Academy Presents:

Spring 2024 Movie Lab After School !

Movie Lab After School offers an engaging, super fun moviemaking experience. We help students create characters as imaginative and complex as they are; then help them build a world to explore conflict and resolution skills. Together we become critical viewers of films, brainstorm original ideas, and collaborate to make an original movie.

Students will learn the basic principles of moviemaking, storytelling, improvisation and songwriting. We play lots of games and develop our collaborative creation and problem-solving skills as we make a movie.  This is a personalized learning experience, so the themes are rooted in the campers’ own curiosity and passions.

Movie Lab After School includes:

  • personalized games and lessons to help campers showcase their passions through the art of moviemaking, story creation, songwriting and presentation

  • experienced teachers, artists, and musicians committed to inquiry-led, project-based learning

  • a live presentation of the movie at the end of camp (with streaming links to be shared with families)

  • an educational philosophy rooted in a confidence-building, anti-racist, anti-bullying curriculum. Creativity thrives in a safe and inclusive community!
